Paying their respects were Coastal Operations Area Commander Phil Skingle; Senior Coastal Operations Officer Alec Wallace; and Matthew West, Manager of the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Fareham, Hampshire.
They visited the Field of Remembrance - now in its 98th year - on Thursday 5 November ahead of the formal opening to the public the next day.
The ceremony was a poignant reminder of the importance of remembrance and the legacy of service, duty and commitment.
Matthew said: "It was an honour to attend such a prestigious event, and to share the experience with so many proud veterans as we reflect and remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice."
Alec added: "I felt extremely proud and privileged to represent HM Coastguard at the Field of Remembrance.
"As a service with a proud history of helping and protecting others, it was especially meaningful to stand together in remembrance of those who gave so much in the service of our country."
Phil said: “It was a privilege to represent HM Coastguard at the Field of Remembrance in London and pay tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for our country.
"The ceremony was a poignant reminder of the importance of remembrance and the legacy of service, duty and commitment.”
The Field of Remembrance, open this year until 15 November, is a tradition that began shortly after the First World War. It is organised by the Poppy Factory which creates the wreaths that are placed each November.
