Labelling your equipment with your details can help us quickly check that you are safe and well, if it is found washed up on the shore. It also helps us to reunite you with your items should they get lost or blown out to sea.

This free app from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) allows recreational boat users to track their journey. If you don’t arrive by your planned time, your chosen emergency contact will be notified. The app also keeps track of your location, helping to locate you more quickly if you need assistance.
With the Met Office app you can stay updated with the latest predictions, including beach-specific forecasts and advice to help you plan the best time to go out. Always check the weather before heading out to the coast, as storms and high winds can be extremely dangerous. Remember, mist, fog and high winds are more likely at the coast too.
