Lucky escape for dog trapped in barbed wire fence

An adventurous dog had a lucky escape this afternoon after becoming trapped in flood water at Buckle Holiday Park, Seaford.
Max the Newfoundland dog with his owners and rescuers.

Max, a Newfoundland, had gone in the water for a quick dip, but became entangled in a barbed wire fence.

Owners Irene and Stewart called 999 and asked for the Coastguard and Newhaven coastguard rescue team, along with East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were quickly on scene. 

Max was cut free and, once rescued, was keen to continue exploring with his β€˜Newfound’ emergency service friends.
